Trip in Trance - MONOMYTH explores itself and a strange planet

With the third longplayer "Exo" the Stoner psych space band Monomyth finishes their trilogy, according to official sources. Trilogy? This has not actually been mentioned so far. Sander Evers, drummer of the Dutch instrumental formation, now puts the releases into context: "With our debut 'Monomyth' we started to explore myths and fictions on our own planet, but in the end we looked at the stars. Further' was the introduction of our spaceship, some maps and a destination we wanted to travel to. On 'Exo' we finally reach it, land on the alien planet and begin to explore it. Yes, travel and explore - that's what this trilogy is about."

The Dutch instrumental five-player Monomyth also cooks up Krautrock, Stoner and Psychedelic on his third longplayer skilfully and patiently to a substance whose ingestion makes quite a fixed addiction. "Exo" offers five very different trips. The band has learned a lot and refined their dream balls with all kinds of exotic spices.

Even if the master appears here rather stylish than excessive, "Mountain Climbing" bundles all qualities of Bonamassas twelfth studio album "Blues Of Desperation" in a perfect way: Biting songwriting, powerful groove and earthy guitar sounds refined by a top production.

MONOMYTH "Further"

A year ago Monomyth surprised the New Art Rock, Kraut Rock and Psychedelic scene with their debut. "Further" is now the second album of the Dutch band. And Monomyth continue with him exactly where they left off with the first album. No reproach, because the four tracks (at 45 minutes playing time) are made outstanding.
