As brave as "The 2nd Law" was, it maneuvered the band from Teignmouth into a dead end. The approach from Electronica and Rock simply could not be continued. Which is why "Drones", the seventh album in 17 years, stands for a course corrector and a return to guitar, bass and drums. However - and this is important - without completely abandoning the technology.
