In the last ten years Tori Amos has made herself very comfortable in her niche: Two rather weak regular albums, which looked very schematic, a successful, albeit somewhat habitual excursion into serious music, in addition a Christmas album and finally a recording of old songs in classical costume. In this respect, "Unrepentant Geraldines" must be seen as a return to old class.
