eclipsed: Withdrawal from resignation? Was it the famous time-out everyone needs, or did you already have the idea for the Henrik Freischlader Trio (HFT)?
Henrik Freischlader: After about ten years of constant touring and releasing my own albums as well as those I produced for my friend musicians for my label Cable Car Records, I realized how these processes became more and more routine. I simply felt in me the need for a pause to breathe deeply and come to rest. In my free time the wish matured to go "back to the roots" again, as I originally started at that time - and the idea for the trio was born.
eclipsed: What is for you, apart from your new musicians, the biggest difference to your projects up to "Budapest"?
Freischlader: I think that we have a great jam potential in the trio and even sometimes we don't know exactly what happens every evening at the concerts. That makes the whole thing exciting!
