What do you think of this band? A lavishly designed, but in parts silly cover design. In addition song titles like "Mogwai Stole My Chord Progression" or "Hey Satan (I Know Where You Live)". Is it rock comedy or serious music you're dealing with here? At first, The Anatomy Of Frank indeed seems very exalted, almost a little hysterical, leaving memories of the early Portugal. The Man come up. But before one can develop the fear that the songs will sink into indie-clamour, the group offers more and more facets of their skills. The songs are with duration of the album more complex and thoughtful, prog structures meet heaped on indie guitar pop. Even a three-part suite without part one is opened. So it's no wonder that at the end of "Pangaea" there is a ten-minute long track, which summarizes everything the band has offered before. And by the way: the lyrics are by far not as silly as their titles suggest.
