It's amazing how many catchy melodies the Archie Bronson outfit presents us on his new album "Wild Crush". The ostensibly unpolished and raw alternative rock of the nine songs is driven in its rough character by the high recognition effect of the tone sequences in another direction. The chorus in "We Are Floating" can be sung along after the first notes. In "Lori From The Outer Space" the vocals caress the croaking saxophone. The wind instrument usually allies itself with the scratching rhythm guitars and adds corners and edges to them, which are immediately smoothed out again by the singing. In "Two Doves On A Lake" and "Cluster Up And Hover" this works very well. The Bath-born trio, now based in London, has grown with their fourth album. The experience of more than ten years of making music together has shaped his songwriting. This also allows for weird sax and guitar solos to flow in, without diminishing the song character of the pieces.
