Six years in the fast-moving music business is in principle an eternity. Apart from the "Low Country" split CD (2009) together with Black Tusk, the last sign of life of the North-Carolina-stoners ASG (originally called All Systems Go) is just as long ago. Now he is finally here, the "Win Us Over" successor, with whom the band in cooperation with producer Matt Hyde recommends themselves to all fans of Kyuss, QOTSA or Fu Manchu. The high, crystal clear vocals of Jason Shi even push the band into the alternative corner (Janeʼs Addiction). That he likes it nastily every now and then can be heard at "Scrappyʼs Trip". But the band doesn't always put the gas on "Blood Drive" like in "Castlestorm", "Hawkeye" or "Stargazinʼ". The doomy-tough "Dayʼs Work" for example (check out the current eclipsed.sampler), "Blues For Bama" and "Earthwalk" show the band from their melancholic side, so that the sound here almost passes for psychedelic rock, to which also the cool, climate-inspired art nouveau cover fits perfectly. "Good Enough To Eat" surprises as a bouncer with acoustic folk elements.
