The Who immediately comes to mind at the opener "Slow Nod". Because this song sounds exactly like her. The guitar work and vocals are exactly like Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey. Of course the Cheap Girls on their fourth album "Famous Graves" don't change their style fundamentally, but the songwriting changes to a more relaxed attitude. The melodies become more poppy, but without really sticking or attracting attention. That's the flaw of the album. The USAmericans around the two brothers Ben and Ian Graham write decent songs, but not remarkable ones. There are just as few low points here as there are highlights. Vocals, guitars and drums seem to be routine and technically safe, but nowhere have anything special to offer. So the opener remains the only listener, because one suspects a new The-Who piece. This is far too little for an entire work that stretches over only 32 minutes anyway.
