Men tend to have childlike fantasies of omnipotence. On the cover of this CD, however, you can see a chess piece that resembles the runner the most, instead of the king, as a phallic symbol floating in orbit. With a rocket launch and astronaut scraps of speech, the first track "Herrscher im Orbit Part 1" actually takes us musically into orbit. The electronic musician from Ebia has created a fine piece of space music. The bass frequencies and the swelling and decaying synths draw you mentally into weightlessness. At the same time, sounds reminiscent of early Kraut electronics à la Kraftwerk and Michael Rother are produced and interwoven with subtle modern electronica rhythms - an outstanding sound architecture. In the other nine tracks, memories of atmospherically intoxicating sounds like those of Vangelis ("Part 3", "Part 5") or Neu! ("Part 7"). A bell-like basic theme runs through the entire plate. Sometimes we work more rhythmically, sometimes more spherically. But always on a high level. A fine listening pleasure.
