At the beginning of the seventies John Congo's Andy Warhol's "15 minutes, to which every person is entitled in celebrity", namely with "He's Gonna Step On You Again" and "Tokoloshe Man" two singles worldwide at the same time in upper chart regions. After that the South African's career died away alarmingly fast. Today the soon 70-year-old composes for other people. As for the duration of the fame, his four adult sons - John Joseph, Jesse, Dylan and Daniel Lee - are likely to get a little more than the obligatory quarter of an hour. With their debut album "Lunatic", the quartet offers a sound under their common surname that stands in the musical tradition of their father: stomping rock, bursting grooves and shirt-sleeved melodies. The swamprock of CCR sounds through, Johnny Wakelin's crashing one-hit wonder "In Zaire", but also the slightly psychedelic of the Kings Of Leon. "Lunatic" has a high hit potential with its rudimentary mix of country, folk and blues. What a pity that the harmonies of the twelve songs are too similar.
