Who would have expected this further development? While Lonely Kamel were still quite unspectacular, albeit uncompromising Wummer Rock on their debut three years ago, "Shit City" now leaves a much more lasting impression. The nine new tracks unite different moods, which fascinate you from the very beginning. For example, "BFD" contains a longer instrumental part interspersed with spherical breaks. The nested "Freezing" combines the raw power of earlier days with rousing emotional suspense, which not least brings out the versatility of singer and guitarist Thomas Brenna outstandingly. Besides this song also "White Lines" and "Falling" offer that pinch of doom in the guitar sound that distinguishes the Norwegians from many genre colleagues. In addition, there is a sure instinct for gripping hooks. The fact that these sometimes emerge from nowhere increases the risk of addiction enormously. In short: While "Dust Devil" could only inspire purists, "Shit City" will drive a wide circle from retro rockers to lovers of contemporary stoner sounds crazy.
