Lucky Peterson is still a "prodigy" of the blues at the age of almost 50. Not only does he have excellent qualities as a guitarist, but he also masters the Hammond B3 and offers convincing vocals. The gig recorded for this album at the 55 Arts Club in Berlin on August 3rd, 2012 contained only a few original compositions, but pleasantly modernized covers like the radioed and rolling "I'm Ready", a very quiet "Who's Been Talking" by Chester Burnett, a more than 10-minute version of "I Believe I'll Dust My Broom", which especially likes the slide guitar parts, and funkblues ("Smooth Sailing"). Except for the lack of individuality a beautiful album for traditionalists.
