The Oyster Experience" is the first EP of the band of the same name from the Black Forest. The fact that the twenty-five-minute CD was recorded in just one day is practically unheard of in the end product. And the South German quartet, which also impresses as a live act, does not lack joy of playing either. "Laocoön" loses a bit of class due to the somewhat queasy sound and the drum groove. Apart from that the band knows how to create atmosphere - singer Thomas Teufel sounds especially at the opener "Down" as if Jim Morrison had staggered into the recording studio after a night of drinking, where he liked it so much that he immediately entered the current session. The five songs of the EP are available for download on the homepage, but the band, which, like the Doors, manages without bassists, rightly points out that only the CD version (available for a mere five euros plus 1.45 euros shipping) offers full sonic enjoyment. Duty-conscious readers know what to do! The debut of the furious newcomers will be released at the end of the year.
