The twelve-pack (if we don't count the intro "Läufuft") shines with an infectious joy of life. The tracks look crisp from the first moment on and even in the third run there are no signs of wear. A whole bundle of the most diverse influences is delivered free of charge, so that it always remains exciting. The Freiburger Truppe has been in existence for almost ten years now and finally trombones it out into the world with their debut "Overdrive", which lives up to its name. However, the sound lacks punch. But perhaps they just didn't want to use the possibilities for increasing the price in future works. Real class always comes up when the South Germans combine the poppy, weird playfulness of a band like The Cake with the reggae punk of The Clash. "London" is the best proof of that. If they had given their sound a little more brilliance and depth, their hypnotic track "The Hole" would surely be a candidate for a top position in many annual polls. That's the secret tip.
