"Don't Wake Up" wish for Teal in one of their songs. But with what they offer on "Hearth", one would much rather be fully there: an impressive conglomerate of glam, prog and metal. Singer Andy Clews is a muse that comes to mind. The artful twists in the arrangements, on the other hand, go in the direction of The Mars Volta. For the Australians, everything is song rather than improvisation. The tracks - sometimes massive ("Raptor"), sometimes finely chased ("Voss") - are simply brilliant. And with "Three Hours" Teal even land the oversong.
