The cover designs and titles of the albums in the current in-akustic CD season are reminiscent of a Spiegel series aimed at the educated middle classes. The blues fan's gonna be pulling up his eyebrows here for now. But then the tracklisting will inspire him. Blues For Rainy Days compiles tracks by Ana Popovic, the Blues Company, Larry Garner, Samatha Fish, Miller Anderson, Chris Farlowe and Walter Trout, among others, which range stylistically from slow blues to midtempo numbers. But there is also the chance to get to know and love some lesser known performers.
