This Will Destroy You remain true to their style, which has brought them so many comparisons with Mogwai and Explosions In The Sky. And that means: dynamism is everything: congenially changing silent moments, epic, calm passages that lead to sudden eruptions. In fact, it's the meditative moments that make the songs on their third album "Another Language" so convincing. These Walls Of Sound, when played well, serve above all to open up spaces of association, to start the head cinema and to let the listener roam in his self-painted mental landscapes. All this This Will Destroy You succeed in a fabulous way. The variable drumming of Alex Bhore, which gives the compositions an additional depth, deserves special mention. Of course you search in vain for vocals on this record. And yet it would be a hint to the band to try it with it. Because despite all the quality offered here, it is in the nature of things that this kind of music always remains a little caught up in its rigid boundaries.
