Zhaoze have achieved legendary status in the Chinese underground scene - at least in their hometown of Guangzhou. They have been releasing albums since the mid-2000s, switching to the postrock genre with the 2010 "Cang Lang Xing" at the latest, to which they added their own timbre with the Guqin, a seven-string Chinese zither, thus acquiring their own characteristics.
