Blues rock bands with blondes as singers and very young musicians seem to be very trendy at the moment. The formation Black State Highway consists of musicians from the Institute of Modern Music in Brighton, but it doesn't sound at all brain-bound, but "knocks everything out". With Zeppelin-like riffs ("Conclusion"), Black State Highway resurrects the seventies, even though the production sounds slightly modern. A number with a slight Southern touch in the style of the later Skynyrd ("Ain't Got Know" - also decoupled as a single), the obligatory quiet track, which once again develops into a Zeppelin cracker ("Broken") and further heavy blues rockers ("Sacrifice", "Tekkers") propagate the song form, whereby the solos get a little too short. Liva Steinbergas vocals are more like a wave vocalist than a heavy rock tube. At first this irritates the inclined listener a bit, but in the long run it gives the music the necessary touch of individuality.
