The Swedish formation Hidden Lands was born almost out of necessity. Johan Hedman from the band Violent Silence decided to continue without keyboard player Hannes Ljunghall. So the Geschasste founded Hidden Lands. With their debut "Lycksalighetens Ö", which means "Island of Bliss", Hidden Lands stay quite close to the sound of Violent Silence. Soft keyboard passages and long songs characterize the album. Everything is well packed, but there is the voice of Bruno Edling, which needs getting used to and which weakens a little in some places. But not much is sung at the factory. But when the voice comes in, it doesn't give the songs the necessary punch that this quiet music needs from time to time. You will be compensated with the final track "Hidden Lands". This fantastic song alone is worth buying this album. At the end "Lycksalighetens Ö" leaves a harmonic impression. The musicians create a pleasant atmosphere with a touch of mysticism. They focused entirely on minimalism, which hypnotizes and fascinates.
