STONE JACK JONES - Ancestor

Stone Jack Jones knows what he sings about when he reflects in his songs about the hard life of the American working class. He himself comes from a family of miners, but, unlike four generations before him, has decided not to live his life underground. For the Vietnam War he was taken out because of epilepsy, so he led a life as a carnival employee, ballet dancer, lute player and club owner. At some point he discovered the music for himself, and "Ancestor" is now his third album. The man looks back on an eventful life, and his songs sound exactly like this: dirty, full of wisdom and pain, resignation and at the same time a little spark of hope. The Hobo is not only taken from Jones because of his past, but also because of his direct, unadorned access to the music. An honest, immediate album that grabs you where it hurts.
