WILLIAM FITZSIMMONS - Lions

The bald man with the eye-catching beard has released a new album, and friends of his covert, gentle sounds, which at first glance are incompatible with his wild appearance, can be happy: Little has changed in the universe of William Fitzsimmons. Which unfortunately also means that Fitzsimmons is still a bit dull and dreamy, even though he surprisingly often uses "Lions" for band instrumentation. This gives his songs more drive and rhythm, but doesn't hide the fact that many of his compositions are very similar. This becomes even clearer when the singer-songwriter tries something new and, for example, becomes a bit more pathetic like in the very well done "Hold On", so that the listener already wonders if there aren't more songs of this caliber slumbering in Fitzsimmons. Maybe he'll give the answer on his next album. "Lions" is more in keeping with the customary canon of the consistently respectable but never special works of the beard bearer.
