An accumulation of supermusicians may by definition make up a supergroup - but the listening experience doesn't have to be "super" by a long shot. Different with this power trio. Billy Sheehan (Mr. Big, ex-David-Lee-Roth-Band) on bass and Mike Portnoy (ex-Dream-Theater; Adrenaline Mob; Flying Colors; TransAtlantic) on drums form the brilliant rhythm fraction, Richie Kotzen (among others ex-Mr.- Big, ex-Poison) sings his soul out of his body and serves his guitar masterfully as usual. Whether they were created in jam sessions or according to Kotzen's first guidelines in joint work - the thirteen tracks, including ballads ("You Saved Me", "The Dying") and hard rock truncheons that lead to a melodic chorus ("Elevate", "The Other Side"), you can clearly hear that every actor has contributed with unbridled enthusiasm. In other words: Here three virtuoso originals simply form a damn good rock band and contribute their skills free of airs and graces to the venture, the perfect rock song come as close as possible.
