New York drummer Jaimeo Brown belongs to a younger generation of American jazz musicians who are moving from the jazz ghetto into a larger context. With his band Transcendence, he now for the second time breaks down the boundaries between roots music and field recordings, modal jazz, hip hop, harmolodic, free funk and state-of-the-art production techniques.
