The drama of "Let It Be":
THE BEATLES and their latest studio album
It was the most difficult birth in the almost eight-year studio era of the Beatles. Between the first recordings and the release on 8 May 1970, now forty years ago, there were at least fourteen months and two finished versions that had fallen through the rust. And even in the group the album "Let It Be" found not only friends. Beatles fans had to wait until 2003 until the release of "Let It Be... Naked", a version without Phil Spector's orchestral sauce.
EMERSON, LAKE & PALMER
Welcome back, my friends..
After the severe hand injury that forced Keith Emerson to take a longer break last year, the keyboard eccentric has now - with Greg Lake - returned to the stage. However, the highlight of this year's live activities is the festival appearance in summer - with ELP. Will this unique reunion continue or will it be followed by more?
Big drama with thick lip
"Hang Cool Teddy Bear IV" is the name of the new album of the world's most famous "Hackbraten". Meat Loaf doesn't give the world a "Bat Out Of Hell IV", but anyone who believes that the heavyweight rock singer with a penchant for operatic drama is now baking small rolls is mistaken.
From London to Woodstock and around the world
He never stood in the spotlight, even though he was a key player for the Stones, the Beatles and The Who. He was also involved in Woodstock, but he could hardly get beyond the status of a session musician. And she crumbles and crumbles and crumbles..
They call themselves Germany's oldest folk rock band. In fact, crumbling machines have been in business since 1969. Since "Graublau" (1984) Studioalbum no more studioalbum has been released. Still, it's back on tour now.
LABEL PORTRAIT: BLUE ROSE
It could be Canadian!
America lies in the middle of Germany. At least musically. The label Blue Rose from Abstatt in Swabia bundles almost everything that rocks on country, roots and Americana runners in America. On the occasion of its 15th anniversary, the Blue Rose can look back on an impressive year
THE BARSTOOL PHILOSOPHERS
German beer in need, but never Heineken
Sometimes the mills grind a little slowly even in the fast-moving music business. Thus The Barstool Philosophers appeared last month for many German Prog fans formally from nowhere on the screen. However, connoisseurs of the Dutch scene already had their grandiose debut album "Sparrows" on their taste radar last year
AVANTASIA Fairplay with the star ensemble Avantasia originates from the fantasy of a man: Tobias Sammet. The singer from East Hesse must have been under creative heavy current during the last months. After all, he has now presented an album double-pack of his project - and has stormed to second place in the charts

NEIL YOUNG - HEY HEY, MY MY
IT'S ALWAYS THE SEEMINGLY SIMPLEST SONGS THAT FOUND THE DEEPEST. NEIL YOUNG'S UNPRETENTIOUS ANTHEM "HEY HEY, MY MY" AND ITS COUNTERPART "MY MY, HEY HEY" WERE ANNOUNCEMENTS OF WAR ON THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A CHANGING SOCIETY
IN SPRÜHTAU ZU BERGEN
The main influence of the Norwegian hard rockers AUDREY HORNE is the local dirty weather
With their third album Audrey Horne set a real exclamation mark. The grunge-influenced hard rock the band has been blowing through Norway's fjords since 2002 is a mixture of Alice In Chains, Ozzy, Tool and good old Rainbow. Besides, he is just as sexy and daring as the character of the same name from David Lynch's cult series "Twin Peaks".
