After 2009 ("Let's Get Ruthless") Rene Thomsen has found a second time to send his band project Thomsen into orbit. Since the guitarist is well networked, he has been able to win illustrious guests like ex-Accept Udo Dierkschneider and his U.D.O guitarist Mathias Dieth or Heaven & Hell drummer Vinny Appice for guest appearances. In principle, this defines the stylistic terrain, because Rene knows exactly what he wants and what he doesn't want. So you have the feeling for long stretches that this album was made in 1982. And a good three decades ago you would certainly have allowed yourself several listening sessions for the twelve songs. But in the present time it is difficult not to look bored out of the laundry after two runs. Rene, his band and his friends do everything right in every second and produce an absolutely transparent, nevertheless powerful sound. But it still doesn't stick much. Instead of taking a third try, one tends to fish an old Scorpions, Accept or Dokken album off the shelf.
