NEIL YOUNG - The Indomitable

Even as a young singer, as a representative of the hippie generation, Neil Young didn't mince his words. And he has remained the most controversial, sometimes in the best sense of the word uninhibited spirit of rock music: The Canadian, who turns seventy on November 12, shows no signs of age-mild. In the following we show why it is so important that "the old man" is still there.

PETER GABRIEL - Self-discovery, Phase I to IV

Peter Gabriel left Genesis on August 15, 1975. A two-year retreat from the music business followed, which the singer used to plan his solo career. It was supposed to be a break with his past. From the four albums he released between 1977 and 1982, all of which bear the significant title "Peter Gabriel", we can see the development of a vision unparalleled in popular music. On the occasion of the re-release of the first four albums on vinyl, eclipsed sets off on a search for traces.

MARILLION
30 years "Fugazi"

"We were in a transitional phase as a band: from a bunch of kids in a van hunting for a record deal to a band that finally had that deal in their pockets and was now trying to record the follow-up to a successful debut album This is Fish's assessment of the situation Marillion found himself in a few months after the release of "Script For A Jester's Tear" in spring 1983.

LED ZEPPELIN
The grand finale

There is no going back: 32 years after the end of Led Zeppelin the last hopes for a comeback of the rock legend have been dashed. Page, Plant and Jones couldn't come up with a common denominator, they have an ambivalent relationship to their own past and have long since moved elsewhere mentally. So the release of their new live DVD "Celebration Day" is also a rare occasion for collective nostalgia and detailed conversations with Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones, which we reproduce here in full, which eclipsed of course does not miss.

MIKE OLDFIELD
Not for Branson: Oldfield's turbulent time at Virgin Records

40 years ago Mike Oldfield entered Richard Branson's semi-finished studio The Manor. In 1972/73 he recorded his rock-historical album "Tubular Bells" there. The surprise success laid the foundation for Branson's Virgin Empire. Before 20 the business relationship between Virgin Music and the musician of the century came to an end - Oldfield and the label boss hadn't been friends for a long time.

Therapy

After eight years Peter Gabriel presents a new studio album. For the Englishman known as a ponderous inventor, this is a blink of an eye. After all, he didn't stop writing fresh songs either, but reinterpreted important pieces by well-known colleagues like David Bowie, Neil Young or Lou Reed. To eclipsed he reveals what drove him to it.
