GOLDEN VOID - All controllers set to 11

eclipsed: The title of your new album, "Berkana", refers to a tree rune that stands for fertility, birth and growth and is also a symbol for the earth mother. Why did you choose this title?

Isaiah Mitchell: My wife Camilla (keyboarder for Golden Void; note) came across it by chance, and since we had mentioned the birch tree several times in one of the songs, it was obvious to use this title. We also wanted to make a new start with the record, which is also reflected in the title.

eclipsed: A fresh start? In what way?

Mitchell: The sound and the music are different. We didn't just want to be heavy, we also wanted to feel comfortable with quieter things, which is why we worked much more with dynamics.

eclipsed: Is the music also more life-affirming?

WUCAN - Retro Rock with Romanticism and Women's Power

eclipsed: Tell me the origin of the band.

Francis Tobolsky: Well, I started the band with an ad when I moved to Dresden four years ago to study. In my old hometown Chemnitz I didn't see the chance to find like-minded people. My claim was to make classic blues rock by Free and Rory Gallagher. First of all our drummer Axel Pätzold reported himself on the ad and peu à peu they all came together. About Tim George on guitar and finally Patrick Dröge on bass.

eclipsed: And how did you find your way to this special sound, a mix of classic hard & blues rock with Tull's flute, Krautrock influences and modern retro rock à la Blues Pills?

SPACE INVADERS - Interview about the new album "Dreadnought

Interview with Paul Pott (bass), Dirk Jan Müller (keyboards), Dennis Gockel (drums) and Tipi Mike (guitar)

eclipsed: After two live-recorded albums you have now improvised in the studio. What effect has the "new" environment had? Is it a different kind of jamming?

Paul Pott: The new environment seemed a bit distorted to me, as I was standing in the studio with an acute herniated disc and a paralyzed leg and stunned myself with all sorts of colorful pills and a bottle of whiskey so that I could hold out the weekend. But in any case, I can say that recording in the studio has the advantage that you can stop a jam if you don't like the result or if the jam doesn't work. On stage you're nailed to pull something like that through and bring it to an end.

DAVE SCHMIDT - News from Sulatron Research

Dave Schmidt candidly mentions the chaos that currently reigns over him, and one cannot get rid of the impression that this disorderly state persists persistently and sustainably - but that it is also a source of his almost untameable creativity. Schmidt is currently giving the scene four high-calibre releases via Sulatron Records: a new live album by Electric Moon, the second album by the Russian band Polska Radio One, Krautzone will follow with separate CD and vinyl releases, and finally - what a surprise! - the first Zone Six studio album in 11 years.

eclipsed: The members of Zone Six call themselves lazy bastards. So how did the new studio album "Love Monster" come about?

Dave Schmidt: Like everything with Zone Six, this was very spontaneous, during a recording break at the Krautzone sessions.

COLOUR HAZE - The Gods Must Be Happy

Twenty years Colour Haze have been on their backs. During this time the Munich band around singer and guitarist Stefan Koglek played their way into the top ranks of the international stoner rock scene with a series of great albums. A position that she consolidates with her latest recording "To The Highest Gods We Know". Between bringing the new generation to bed, the trouble with the local cultural department (which forces the band to leave the building with the newly furnished studio after a short time) and the work for their own record label (Elektrohasch), Stefan Koglek finds the time to chat about the band and their latest studio work.

eclipsed: The recordings for your last album "She Said" were accompanied by many difficulties. How'd "To The Highest Gods We Know" go?
