In June 2019 BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN ended a five-year (studio album) break with the album "Western Stars". Now the legendary singer, songwriter and musician is presenting a new rock album with "Letter To You" (VÖ 23.10.), which he recorded together with the E Street Band. The recordings were made in his home studio in New Jersey. The twelve song longplayer is the 20th studio album of his career.
"I love the emotionality of 'Letter To You'," Springsteen says, "and I love the sound of the E Street Band playing completely live in the studio like we've never done before, with no overdubs. We made the album in just five days and it turned out to be one of the greatest recording experiences I've ever had."
"Letter To You" contains nine new Springsteen songs, plus re-recordings of three previously unreleased compositions from the seventies: "Janey Needs A Shooter", "If I Was The Priest" and "Song For Orphans". The musicians were Roy Bittan, Nils Lofgren, Patti Scialfa, Garry Tallent, Stevie Van Zandt, Max Weinberg, Charlie Giordano and Jake Clemons. The album was produced by Ron Aniello together with Bruce Springsteen and mixed by Bob Clearmountain, the mastering was done by Bob Ludwig.
