50 years KRAFTWERK - only concert!

In 2020 Germany will celebrate the 250th birthday of Ludwig van Beethoven (1770 - 1827) with the whole world. He is considered the most important classical composer and his works belong to the cultural heritage of mankind.

KRAFTWERK have written music history over the past five decades and are regarded as the forefathers of a wide variety of musical styles such as electro, hip-hop, synth pop, minimal and especially techno. The multimedia project KRAFTWERK was founded in 1970 by Ralf Hütter and Florian Schneider in the environment of the experimental art scene in Düsseldorf. At the same time they set up their electronic Kling Klang studio, where they conceived, composed and produced all KRAFTWERK albums. Since their beginnings in the early 1970s, the electro pioneers KRAFTWERK have been linked to the development of the latest technologies and have anticipated and significantly shaped the soundtrack of our computer world. With the KRAFTWERK classics "The Robots" and "The Human Machine" Ralf Hütter has artistically designed the phenomenon of automation in our society and in 2014 was honoured with the Grammy "Lifetime Achievement Award" for his life's work. In the new millennium, KRAFTWERK have performed their 3-D multimedia performance "Der Katalog 12345678" in the world's leading art museums, concert halls and galleries: Museum of Modern Art, New York; Tate Modern, London; Kunstsammlung Düsseldorf, Neue Nationalgalerie, Berlin, Sprueth Magers, Berlin; Philharmonie, Paris; Burgtheater, Vienna. The successful KRAFTWERK World Tours by Ralf Hütter, Henning Schmitz, Fritz Hilpert and Falk Grieffenhagen triggered fantastic reactions and unanimous enthusiasm from the public and the media. Five decades of music history prove the unique selling point of the Gesamtkunstwerk KRAFTWERK.
