Twenty Sixty Six And Then existed from 1970 to 1972, a very short period only in the long musical career of singer Geff Harrison. The history and fortunes of 2066AT are highlighted in the eclipsed issue 05/2017. But this is about Geff Harrison, who started with music in the early 60s, moved to Germany and still lives in Hamburg today. His German has a British accent, but is otherwise perfect. It is significant that there is a German Wikipedia entry about him, but no English Wikipedia entry.
Basically nobody expected a new studio album from Procol Harum any more. The last recordings were released with "The Well's On Fire" a long time ago, in the year 2003. Now "Novum", which actually comes up with some innovations: organist Matthew Fisher and lyricist Keith Reid are two original members; for the first time all Procol-Harum-musicians are involved in the songwriting; Urgestein Pete Brown is responsible for the lyrics.
It has been eight years since Kairon; IRSE! was launched. Since then, the four boys have been following their own path between Shoegaze, psychedelic rock and postrock. With "Ruination" the band even went one step further: instead of relying on their improvisation skills, Kairon; IRSE! worked on new songs for two years. In a conversation with eclipsed guitarist/keyboarder Niko Lehdontie makes a bow from the beginning of the band to the current record.
25. April 1967, Rhöndorf near Bonn, Waldfriedhof: It is the day on which the Federal Republic experiences the largest funeral in its history to date. Former Chancellor Konrad Adenauer, who blessed the temporal at the age of 91, is buried. But it is not only the deserving statesman who is said goodbye, in retrospect his funeral also symbolizes the end of an epoch - that of reconstruction, the economic miracle and a stuffy restorative social climate.
It was 50 years ago: Flower Power und R.E.S.P.E.C.T., Purple Haze und Sgt.
