Das vierzehnte Studiowerk der Schottenrocker von der Hebrideninsel Skye soll nach 42 Jahren ihr letztes sein. Der Albumtitel „The Story“ ist also programmatisch und in den Texten der zehn neuen Songs reflektiert das Gründerbrüderpaar Rory und Calum Macdonald die eigene Bandgeschichte. Natürlich bezieht das die Liebe zu den schottischen Highlands und Inseln mit all ihren Mythen, die gälische Sprachkultur sowie die großen und kleinen menschlichen Schicksale ein.
You first have to have the courage to record an album completely finished and then throw it overboard after having recorded completely different songs within two days. Actually, the record company had already approved the almost finished album and sent the band into the studio only for the recording of one or two bonus tracks. "Let Love Show The Way" lives from this spontaneity and you get the feeling of sitting in a corner of the trio's rehearsal room.

Eigentlich hatte die Plattenfirma das quasi fertige Album schon abgesegnet und schickte die Band nur nochmal für die Aufnahme von ein, zwei Bonustracks ins Studio. „Let Love Show The Way“ lebt von dieser Spontaneität und man hat beim Hören das Gefühl in einer Ecke des Proberaums des Trios zu sitzen.

The Canadian band was founded twelve years ago by Olga Goreas and Jace Lasek. The couple, who still form the core of the formation today, were inspired by the atmosphere of Besnard Lake, an enchanting lake in northern Saskatchewan.
