GENESIS - 40 Jahre „…And Then There Were Three…“

There were only three left. During the last tour Steve Hackett had decided to leave Genesis. He was frustrated, as he considered his share of output to be too small and his contributions to be underestimated. For Tony Banks, Phil Collins and Mike Rutherford, his decision was not as shocking as Peter Gabriel's departure two years earlier. They wanted to give the Prog battleship a new sound anyway, a more radio-ready paint job. So "...And Then There Were Three..." became the band's most pop album to date.

Marianne Faithfull

MARIANNE FAITHFULL hat als Musikerin alles er- und überlebt

Woe to him who dares to disturb Marianne Faithfull during her afternoon nap. Even expensive flowers don't help as souvenirs. Madame opens the door to her Parisian apartment in dressing gown, pyjamas and slippers, is struck by a fibrous cold and first of all she opens the door to her visit: "Okay, this has got to go fast now. I'm sick and I want to go back to bed." It's actually not good together: wiry hair, reddened skin, sweat on the forehead. She can only walk with difficulty and coughs constantly. Moreover, Faithfull feels disturbed in its privacy.

The Tangent

THE TANGENT senden mit einer Schachfigur eine gesellschaftspolitische Botschaft an ihre Fans

The Tangent had settled their last studio work "The Slow Rust Of Forgotten Machinery" as well as their predecessor records beyond time and space. Only musically, though. Listening to the lyrics of mastermind Andy Tillison, it became clear that the formation had arrived in reality and was clearly hitting critical notes. With their current release "Proxy" the supergroup project didn't want to act as a reminder again. A demarcation that the quintet did not really manage to achieve. Tillison feels too committed to various daily topics and is determined to write about them.

RIVERSIDE - Der neue Dreiklang

On 21 February 2016 the end of Riverside seemed to be sealed. On this day, guitarist Piotr Grudziński died completely unexpectedly. The 40-year-old darling of the audience played a big part in the success of the band with his lyrical melodies. It seemed impossible to continue the group without him. Two and a half years later, Riverside are no longer the same band. With their new album "Wasteland" they reinvented themselves as a trio. Mariusz Duda, Michał Łapaj and Piotr Kozieradzki are ready to continue their story.
