For the Swiss band One Sentence. Supervisor has started a new chapter with the third album "Acedia". With the addition of the oud virtuoso Bahur Ghazi as a permanent member of the band, the Swiss band's very own Krautrock has experienced a new dimension and an enormous expansion of its sound palette. Singer and guitarist Donat Kaufmann explains the background to eclipsed.

eclipsed: With its many stoic rhythms "Acedia" has something Krautrockiges. Did you get your inspiration from Krautrock?
We agreed on a telephone interview with Brett William Kull of Rise Twain. This is also happening as planned. Surprisingly, singer JD Beck is also in the lead. The friends from Philadelphia throw themselves the balls in a good mood, and so an entertaining conversation develops about their common music project, Jeff Buckley, friendship and the right timing.
eclipsed: When I heard that Brett was part of this project, I had expected Prog à la Echolyn. Instead there is something completely different to hear. What's the matter with you?
In 2016 Laurence Jones, a nimble guitar finger of only 27, was inducted into the Blues Hall Of Fame. He has been on stage with the greats of the genre such as Van Morrison, Buddy Guy and Eric Burdon. Is a new Joe Bonamassa growing up here? His new album, simply titled "Laurence Jones Band", convinces with its stylistic openness, which goes far beyond the pure blues. Can this be interpreted as a new beginning with the emphasis on band identity?
The idea came from across the Atlantic: young women and men of all skin colors, musicians, students, pupils, apprentices and young workers, many with Christian backgrounds, looked for ways of life beyond the affluent society in the countryside - such hippie communities were motivated above all by the film "Easy Rider" and the Woodstock Festival.
Almost three years have passed since the release of Eyevorys concept album "Inphantasia". An eventful and productive time for the progband from Bremen, as singer and bassist Jana Frank reports: "We have had a new drummer for one and a half years, this time a permanent one, which feels very good. Previously we had many changes, had to adjust again and again. Now the chair stands on four legs again." For one year the group has been working on new material. "About forty songs have been written. They were sifted out until the top ten were left for the album," Frank sums up.
On 26 September 1969 the Beatles released their last album recorded together: "Abbey Road". An amazing work full of surprises. Above all, however, it was a miracle that the group, shaken by quarrels and financial imponderables, had come together again and recorded a record together. A record that can confidently be seen as the quintessence of the groundbreaking formation's work. eclipsed is once again on the lookout for clues on the 50th anniversary of the release of "Abbey Road".
"The long awaited album of..." - one of the most popular phrases of label promoters to pretend interest in artists where there is often none. Different with Tool: With a new work by the Alternative Progmetal act, the expectations are indeed immense. Tool are a mystery, their lyrics, artwork and music are the subject of devoted discussions among supporters of the US quartet. Tools' fifth album, "Fear Inoculum", is now being released, and at once a host of new material will be released, plunged into its complex symbols.
A new album from New Model Army is always an event. The English band released a live recording in 2018, on which practically only the concert visitors can be heard. For the new studio work "From Here" the quintet retreated to the Norwegian island of Giske to arrange and record the songs in great seclusion. "Everything was allowed," bandleader Justin Sullivan tells us.
